Choosing Butterfly As Your Tattoo Art

A butterfly tattoo is common for many females, although seldom males will choose to have butterflies as their tattoo, do not be surprise to find one who might favor it over other more masculine ones. This is because butterfly itself is a testament of perfect symmetry, and thus the owner might have an interesting story to tell. These tattoos can usually come in the form of big and small butterfly, as well as in tribal designs.

One reason why butterfly tattoos are so popular among females is because it portrays femininity. The action getting a tattoo is a strong enough statement for any females that they're taking charge of their life, and thus having one of this tattoo can help signify the need to take charge but to remain feminine at the same time.

Another popular reason why many people chooses it is because it can be done in a variety of colors. There are no telling what a butterfly color should be, and thus many can get pretty creative when doing so. Unlike when you're choosing a dragon, where it generally comes in only a handful of color, a butterfly tattoos allows you to show your creative side with the colors, because of the symmetry design, more thoughts are put into it as well.

Whether one chooses a bigger version of the butterfly tattoo or prefer the smaller one, it can easily fit into your skin color, smart designs will also fits perfectly on any part of the body, whether in a wide or small area.

So if you've decided to get a butterfly as a tattoo, be sure to choose the safest shop to do so. Hygiene for tattoos should be observed at all times, as one can contract diseases if done in an unsafe and unclean environment. One good way to find out which shop can do it for you is to either ask your friend who have done it or survey the shop online and read customer reviews, which are often based on their own experiences.

Women's Tattoo Ideas - The Ultimate Top 5 Tips For Getting a Tattoo You'll Love

I hope you find these top tips useful when considering the massive selection of women's tattoo ideas there are, so that you end up getting the tattoo you'll love for many years to come!

Tip 1: Do lots... and lots... of tattoo design research.

There are women's tattoo ideas aplenty on the internet these days, so there's no excuse to rush into getting the first design you see. Make sure you do plenty of research on websites that offer design galleries, get a second opinion, and think of the long-term when choosing which one to go for.

Tip 2: Don't let anyone else decide for you!

It might be overwhelming when you look at online galleries offering women's tattoo ideas, and it might seem easier just to follow the advice of a partner or the tattoo artist when it comes down to the final design selection. Don't listen to them! It's your body, and it'll be with you for a long time yet, so don't let the influence of another person's opinion sway the decision too strongly.

Tip 3: Remain clear-headed when dealing with tattoos.

My own tattoo artist loves to tell the story of a girl who'd done tonnes of design research on the internet on women's tattoo ideas, but who showed up to her appointment drunk beyond belief (first time nerve tonic!). She was so angry when he refused to ink her that she threatened to sue him, and he had to call the Police. But if she'd gotten confused about which was the final choice from all the women's tattoo ideas, or regretted it later, or been unhappy with his work - it's seriously professionally dangerous to work on someone who's intoxicated.

I don't even need to explain why refusing to have work done by a drunk tattoo artist is also a bad idea, I hope!

Tip 4: Choose a great tattoo artist.

Choose a tattoo artist who you've met before, who meets all the legal and hygiene requirements for your state, and who makes you feel confident and comfortable. When you turn up to his studio with a sheet of women's tattoo ideas, you need to have confidence in his skill and professionalism - and when you find him (or her!), you'll know it.

Never be afraid to shop around for a great tattoo artist if you have any doubts about any aspect of an artist's abilities.

Tip 5: Get aftercare advice from your tattoo artist, and ignore everyone else.

Once you've found a really great tattoo artist that ticks all the boxes, you'll probably attend an appointment to go through all the women's tattoo ideas that you have, with examples printed out. Once you go through with it, make sure that you follow the artist's advice down to the letter, and ignore any friends, relatives or colleagues that think they know better - often their advice is out of date, no matter how well intentioned it is.

Japanese Tattoo Designs For Women - A Guide to Choosing the Right Design

In recent years, there has been a revival with Japanese tattoos. This revival is understandable, as Japanese artwork can be very beautiful. Some of it can be traced back for thousands of years! These days, they are popular for both men and women. If you are a woman who is interested in Japanese tattoo designs, here are some tips that will help you with your choice.

Understanding the history

Tattooing is a tradition in Japan that dates back to several centuries. During most of those centuries, the art wasn't accepted by most people. In fact, tattoos in ancient Japan were usually associated with criminals. There was even some branding going on in regard to criminals. The branding continued on during the time of Yakuza (gangs). The gangsters would get tattoos to mark their chosen lifestyle.

In recent decades, many young Japanese men who aren't associated with any gangs have been getting tattoos, as the art is becoming more and more mainstream. This art is going through a sort or rebirth amongst the Japanese and the trend is spreading more widely to Europe and North America. Now, many men and women of all ages are starting to get Japanese tattoo designs.

The designs for women

Here are some of the most popular designs that look great on women. You are free to choose any design you want, of course, although there are certain images that most women tend to prefer.

The cherry blossom

Perhaps the most well known flower in Japan, the cherry blossom is admired for its beauty and delicacy. They symbolize how life can be both fragile and beautiful. Even the Samurai would admire the cherry blossom and write poems about the flower. These days, many women are choosing to get cherry blossom tattoos. Just look for images of the flower and you will understand why they are so admired!

Geisha tattoos

Men and women both include Geishas in their Japanese tattoo designs. They are more than just "pinup" models; they are very classy, cultured women that were trained to carry the traditions of the Japanese culture. They were beautiful and very talented. They were taught to dance, sing, play instruments, pour tea with perfection, and entertain in general.

Some tattoo designs depict both a Samurai and Geisha meeting, often sitting facing one another and drinking tea. If you want a strong, female image as part of your tattoo, then you could always consider the Geisha.

The koi fish

This fish has a lot of positive qualities. It is a symbol of perseverance, strength, and spirituality. There is a myth that the koi fish often swim upstream to the heavenly gate, where they turn into a flying dragon and take off into the sky forever. These amazing fish are viewed as brave individualists since they go against the flow of nature and end up being rewarded for their bravery.

Japanese tattoo designs with koi fish are usually drawn in bright orange and golden hues, combined with the blue sparkling waves in the background. Obviously, it's a beautiful blend of colors, so if you want something that stands out, then this is something you should consider getting.

Finding the right design for you

Whether you want a traditional or modern recreation of a Japanese tattoo, then you need to consider the aforementioned designs. There are tons of other popular designs, including Kanji characters, swords, and the lotus blossom. These are just some ideas for Japanese tattoo designs to get you to think creatively.

Various Techniques of Tattoo Art

Tattoo art has been around for thousands of years. Humans have been associated with body art since times unknown. Tattooing techniques are largely divided based on the geographies. Almost every region has its own way of drawing tattoos. The tattoo art of a region has influences of culture and ethos of the area. Whatever the techniques are, you always end up with a design marked on your body.

Western technique is to use an electrical machine for tattooing practices. The machine was invented in late 1800's. It has undergone very few changes since then. The machine pushes a needle to and fro to puncture holes in the skin. A tube system in the machine is used to insert the ink pigment into these holes.

Japanese technique of tattooing owes its attributes to the traditional tattooing practices of the country. You will be surprised to know that this technique uses meticulously arranged bamboo handles to draw a tattoo by hand. These handles carry the needles required and overall working is similar to an electric machine used for tattooing.

Pacific culture has given the world Samoan technique of tattooing. Hand tools made up of wood are used in this technique. Combination of a rake and stick is used to puncture holes as well as to insert ink. Movements of the rake are used to create designs on the skin. Taut skin is necessary during the tattooing practice.

A tool, almost identical to the one used in western technique is used in ancient Thai technique. A pointed rod capable of sliding to and fro is used to puncture holes. A brass tube of sufficient length is also attached to it. A tattoo artist performing a Thai technique uses one hand to hold the skin tout and other to pierce the skin after dipping the pointed rod in the ink.

The Popularity of Tattoos

The art of tattoo making and getting a tattoo made has existed for a long time in history. For considerable periods of time in history it has gained momentary prominence and then subsided only to rise to the foreground again with little or no revival. A vast number of cultures and societies have tattooing as a part of their tradition or customs.

When the artistic value of tattooing dropped for sometime in history, tattooing survived and prevailed as a means of identification in the form of numbers or alphabets on captives or animals etc.

Today however, we see a today new kind of reformation in the world of tattoos. Adolescents and young adults are very excited about getting their first tattoo made after a celebrity or some design they thoroughly admire. Today, the art of tattooing has become more commercialized. It is a fashion statement. It is a type of beauty agent in the form of body modification. While there are those who are very keen to get a permanent tattoo on their body or face, there is another bunch of people for whom this is just a fad, a teen thing, something that they would like to experiment and shed away. This bunch of people usually goes in for a temporary tattoo as their idea is to simple experiment the experience.

There is a considerable amount of sex appeal attached to the tattoos. The popularity of tattoos among women is loaded by the fact that it makes them feel more confident and sexier and increases their appeal to men. Though the idea of sex appeal differs in men, you cannot completely ignore the fact that men do derive a certain kind of attraction when they have a tattoo on their body or even a body piercing for that matter. Because tattoos are popular they are bound to survive and exist for generations to come.

Looking For the Perfect First Tattoo - Where to Find Tattoo Designs

I'm on a quest to find the perfect first tattoo and have come to realize the internet is a great source for body art. Once of my best friends and I had a pack to get a tattoo together at the same time. The time came and she got hers. I set in the tattoo shop watching as she got it. The excitement was intense and everyone kept asking what tattoo I liked. Truth was I saw nothing I wanted on my body. Why, because I had seen the designs on others. I wanted something different.

We left the shop with both excitement for my friend and her new tat and yet it was bitter sweet as I had none. I just couldn't commit to one as nothing caught my eye. I felt a bit of a wimp but my friend understood and in fact mentioned she had a twinge of regret not having drawn her own art for her first tattoo.

In the beginning we both had planned to draw our own designs. We wanted to make them similar or even related. Everytime we drew something we lost the courage or just didn't think it was good enough. Imagine telling people you drew it and it somehow just wasn't as great as you would hope. After all the only reason you would put your own art on your body is because you were a great artist right?

Anyway I soon learned the stigma of having a tattoo brought on a lot of responsibility. The body art I get should be something that sends a message about who I am and what I stand for. It must also be timeless as I will have it forever. If you haven't figured out, I'm a bit analytical and think about things from every angle. It's just me, can't help it or change, nor do I care to.

What I've Learned about Tattoos

• Cost, it can run upwards into the $500.00 figure.
• Where to get my tattoo and where to put it on my body.
• All the options, there are tons of options to know about
• Color choices and what will look best on your skin type.
• Color choice and how it will match your clothes on any given day
• Your going to have it forever so it should be a quality piece.
• No regret, a tattoo is a piece of art and should reflect you.
• Once you get your first odds are you will want another etc.

The thing about a tattoo is that you can't take it off. You can cover it up and yet sometimes that's an uncomfortable option. I'm a girl who likes to coordinate my wardrobe and look nice. I still want a tattoo and at the current moment am just taking my time to find the right design. I feel that I will know it when I see it. I just haven't seen the right tat for me yet. The search goes on. I'm a whole new generation and choose to make my expression stand out and reflect me and my moment which is not to reflect that of generations before me. I guess I want to start a new revolution!

You've passed by them on the streets or at the mall and you have looked in curiosity and possibly turned away in disgust. You know what I mean--they are the teens of today--what used to be the fringe, the counterculture, who have now become more mainstream, the ones with the nose rings and pierced tongues. You silently wonder "how can they eat like that or blow their noses?" And then your 16-year-old daughter returns from school one day talking about her friend Mallory's new navel ring. She thinks it's cool and wants one. You are dead-set against the idea, but how do you handle this situation?

Some teens respond positively to "Not as long as your under my roof" and they wait until they move out or go to college. Other teens may say "Well then I'll just leave," and will move out. According to Woodinville, Washington, therapist, Elaine Pool, "You know your teen best." You should know what kind of limits work and what kind of limits don't. If your teen is one with whom you can reason, ask her to help you research the topic, and if after the research it still seems like a good idea, then you can negotiate.

Research the topic together and get all the facts, including sitting in on one someone else's procedure so you and your teen get a realistic picture of what happens. What exactly is body piercing? Body piercing is the creating of a hole, with a needle, in a part of the skin in order to wear a ring or stud through that part. This part of the skin may be the navel, eyebrow, nostril, septum, ear, nipple, tongue, etc. The holes created for body piercing are permanent, even if after the first year, the person never wears the body jewelry again.

In addition to the permanency, piercings are associated with dangerous health risks. Body piercings can become painfully infected. And, according to Dr. Absar H. Haaris, of St. Agnes Hospital in Philadelphia, getting a body piercing "increases one's risk for Hepatitis B and/or C" and HIV/AIDS. The increased risk is so great that the American Red Cross and regional blood banks have started to refuse blood donations from people with body piercings.

Remove Tattoos

The desire to remove tattoos has been around just about as long as their existence. Recent technological advances in lasers have now made it possible to remove tattoos without leaving an equally undesirable scar. You may have seen creams marketed to remove tattoos; some are currently being investigated for their effectiveness, but there isn't a great deal evidence for them as yet. Early attempts to remove tattoos have had less than worthwhile results. Early attempts to remove tattoos included sanding, cutting, or burning of the skin, which resulted in scarring.

A tattoo is meant to be for life. Unfortunately, what a customer might want these days may not be what they want in two or even twenty years time. Both the procedure and cost of acquiring a tattoo are relatively minor in comparison to having it removed at a later date. It may be wise to bear these facts in mind in before visiting your local tattoo artist with design and cash in hand.

Two of the most commonly used methods for removing an unwanted tattoo are also two of the most unsatisfactory. The first method involves removing a piece of skin from a less-noticeable area of your body and grafting it over the tattoo. This strange sort of "plastic surgery approach" covers up the tattoo but also leaves scar tissue as the skin is no longer in it's normal state.

Another method is to go to a tattoo artist and have a different design tattooed on top of the unwanted one. With this course of action, the black outline from the original tattoo can be noticeable around the new one; the larger the original, and the more black ink it has, the more difficult it will be to cover it up.

A surgical method which is just as unsatisfactory is called dermabrasion. In layman's term, you can think of it as rubbing at your skin with sandpaper. Even if this method is performed by a licensed doctor, you will likely conclude that the resulting scar is worse than the original tattoo. The reason for the scarring is that removing a tattoo with this method will entail going throughout the tattoo and the underlying skin. The scarring left by this method will most likely leave that portion of your skin a much lighter color and a different texture to the skin surrounding it. Of all the tattoo removal methods currently in use, dermabrasion will leave the most noticeable scarring.

Cherub Tattoo

Cherub Tattoo
When it comes to angels, Cherub tattoos are probably the most popular of the bunch. There are so many great things about this religious design, but you probably know all of them already. That's why we will concentrate on ways to find the truly great design on the web, because too many people keep seeing a slew of generic, low end artwork and not much else. Finding good Cherub tattoos should be fun and this should help you on your short journey.

Black Tribal Tattoos

Black Tribal Tattoos

Black Tribal Tattoos
Tattoos are believed to be a modern phenomenon adopted by the liberalized young generation that is mostly found in big cities around the world. Most parents still advise their teenagers against getting tattooed. Surprisingly most of the tattoo designs used widely today date back to many years before the present civilization. These are what are referred to as tribal tattoos.

Tribal Butterfly Tattoo

Tribal Butterfly Tattoo

Tribal butterfly tattoo designs can be some of the most amazing and sexy designs you can choose. I know quite a few women who have them and most of them are top notch. There are some individuals who end up settling for generic artwork that doesn't come out very good, which is a real shame. Here is the truth about a lot of the tattoos on the web, as well as how to locate the truly great stuff on your journey.

I will also tell you about the number one reason most people keep running into the same generic content over and over again. The number one reason is actually the starting point for most people and you most likely use them to look for tribal butterfly tattoo designs. I am talking about search engines. That's right. Search engines might be the ultimate tool at finding most things in a split second, but this is not even close to being the case when it comes to finding the quality artwork on the web. Notice that I used the exact word "quality". That is the main point that we all need to realize when on your quest to find tribal butterfly tattoo designs. Search engines are notorious for pull up nothing but the same generic, cookie-cutter websites out here. It doesn't matter which styles of tattoos you are search for. It could be tribal butterfly tattoo designs, or it can be tattoos of suns. All that seems to pull up is websites that are overloaded with generic art.
Tribal Butterfly Tattoo
The artwork I am talking about is usually over seven years old and most of it is already plastered on hundreds of other websites over the years. There is not chance of there being any sort of originality in any of those types of tribal butterfly tattoo designs, or any tattoos you may be looking for. Not only that, but most of the generic artwork out there wasn't even really drawn to be made into real tattoos. Most of it was made my artists back in the day that had no clue that their image would be used for tattoos. Most of the artists did not draw them so that they would come out good when used as tattoos. Heck, most of the artists don't have any real knowledge about tattoos to begin with. Those are not the kinds of tribal butterfly tattoos you want to settle for.

If you really want to be able to find your way to the quality tribal butterfly tattoo designs out there, then you will need to change your searching ways a little bit. It is actually a very simple transition. All that really needs to happen is for you to utilize internet forums instead of relying on search engines for a brief time. Not only will it save you a bunch of time in the long run, but the quality of websites you will be able to find will be well worth it in a multitude of ways. Forums are simply loaded with unique insider information on tattoos and the hidden websites that tend to have the quality artwork that you just can't seem to locate when using Google or Yahoo. I love forums for this reason and many other people do also. Finding tribal butterfly tattoo designs through forums does work and this goes for any tattoo you might be considering.
